<p>Stop Snoring tonight by sleeping in a different position. Don’t sleep on your back. This is one of the major causes of snoring.<br />
Stop Snoring by quiting smoking. Are you a smoker? If we leave aside all the bad effects on your health and risk of lung cancer and etc. It also might cause you to snore. So cigarettes might relax you in work and when stressed, but when you get into a fight with a loved one because you are snoring like a t-rex  you usually get much more stress. Unless you are a not giving a damn type of guy or girl. Stopping smoking will usually help the smokers, if you are not a smoker starting smoking and then stopping it just to stop snoring won’t do you any good. Sounds obvious but i’m just clarifying. This method does not give overnight results though.</p>

<p>A sleep cycle has few phases – first, second , third, fourth. The first two stages are the light sleep stages and are usually really short. The third and fourth stage are crucial and actually determine if you slept well or not. In the third stage your body recovers. In the fourth stage also called REM (Rapid Eye Movement) we dream and organize the information we got the day before.</p>
<p>Now when you have sleep apnea it is very hard for the body to enter third and fourth stage because once you get out of a cycle(e.g. wake up to breathe), you have to start all over again – right from the first stage. This is why one of the sleep apnea symptoms is tiredness and low energy.</p>
<h2>Sleep Apnea Symptoms: Types of Sleep Apnea</h2>
<p>Sleep apnea is a very complex disease and as such there are different types of it. The symptoms for each are usually the same. We make distinctions between them depending on the cause.</p>
<h3>Obstructive Sleep Apnea</h3>
<p>This is a the most common type of sleep apnea and happens when the soft tissue at the back of your throat is “too relaxed”. Meaning it gets too long, and creates a block which prevents the air to flow freely. It prevents airflow so much so that some of the <strong>obstructive sleep apnea</strong> symptoms are &#8211; you stop breathing and you snore really loudly.</p>
<h3>Central Sleep Apnea</h3>
<p>This type of sleep apnea is not as common as obstructive sleep apnea and it doesn’t have anything to do with your throat. The problem here is that your central nervous system fails to control the breathing muscles and…you fail to breath! <strong>Central sleep apnea symptoms</strong> do not involve snoring. This type of sleep apnea is much more dangerous as it is harder to spot.</p>
<h3>Complex Sleep Apnea</h3>
<p><strong>Complex sleep apnea</strong> is a combination of obstructive and central sleep apnea.</p>
